Blackwood canopy near the Hogarth Falls, Strahan.
If you've ever been on those little nature-trail-see-natural-beauty-such-as-these-waterfalls-walk<<don't-break-your-ankles>>type-thing, then you'll understand you're focused on your footing and the tannin-brown creek and the greenery and the flowers... much more than whatever the overcast sky is doing above you. But do look up. Especially when there are blackwoods. A most impressive silhouette... To get more of an impression I suggest you MOVE YOUR FACE FAR AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER SCREEN. I was standing on the ground, you see. Blur your eyes a bit to see more of the jigsaw pattern. Please enjoy this photo. Every Last Bit of it. It still completely compels me. I hope it has the same effect you...that you can get lost in it, drown in it. Alright man, it's just a &#%$* picture of some trees, think what you will dudes! Daily DeviationGiven 2006-05-26Take the advice of ~Heureuse next time you go on a walk in the woods and resist the urge to spend the whole time being focused on your footing and the tannin-brown creek and the greenery and the flowers. Look up and may be lucky enough to see something like the "Blackwood Jigsaw" (Suggested by ~pirate-soul and Featured by `hesitation) |

But this snap could go where?
One great thing with nature photography is that what you see is all you've got...your studio is already setup. Which in turn I s'pose means it's harder to make them 'artistic'.
